How to Register

1. ICB will hold two partner-based virtual competitions in 2024 at the international level.

2. The competition will consist of two rounds: a qualifier round and a final round.

        I. Qualified participants will receive follow-up emails about the data and time of the final round.

3. The final round will feature a prize pool of $500.

4. All questions given to competitors will be on advanced chemistry and related subtopics.

5. The competition will cover the following topics, with the percentage indicating the approximate weight given to each topic:

  I. Inorganic Chemistry: 30%

  II. Biochemistry: 20%

  III. Physical Chemistry: 20%

  IV. Organic Chemistry: 15%

  V. Analytical Chemistry: 7.5%

  VI. Miscellaneous (Astrochemistry, Materials Science, etc.): 7.5%

6. The participants should be aware of the rules and regulations of the competition and abide by them.

7. The competition can be held in different languages, but the questions will be in English.

 I. Translated question books may be made available if the request is made 30 days prior to the competition.

8. The participants should be aware of the schedule and the deadline of the competition and abide by them.

9. The participants are not allowed to collaborate or share any information during the competition.

10. The results of the competition will be based on the scores obtained by the participants in the two rounds.

       I. The top 50 teams from the qualifying round will qualify to the final round with opportunities to win cash prizes.
